HBO: Which character do you admire the most?
Esmé Bianco: It would be easy to say Daenerys, but I’ve got a lot of admiration for Catelyn Stark. I think Catelyn holds to her beliefs, what she believes is the right and proper thing to do—like when she lets the Kingslayer go. She’s been through so much and is still standing proud and supporting her son. I mean no one has had it easy, but I really admire her.

“Does Cersei pray to you too, my lady?” Catelyn asked the Mother. She could see the proud, cold, lovely features of the Lannister queen etched upon the wall. The crack was still there; even Cersei could weep for her children.
“I want to weep, she thought. I want to be comforted. I’m so tired of being strong. I want to be foolish and frightened for once. Just for a small while, that’s all….a day…..an hour.”
